Kevin Chamberlain, organist and Minister of Music at Avenue UMC in Milford, DE will play a benefit concert on the new custom Rodgers Masterpiece organ with 15 ranks of pipes and MIDI. This Concert is the first in a new artist series that will be started here at Avenue. This series will be called the Bach Series. We musicians would automatically think Johann Sebastian Bach, but Avenue Church received a bequest from the estate of Octavio and Mildred Masten Bach in the late 1980's (long time members of the church and strong supporters of music). This bequest covered all costs for the purchase of a new organ in 2005, and are in a special account set aside for the continued maintenance of the organ and pianos of the church.
